- Galvanised Pallet Racking
T2 Storage Solutions mobile pallet racking is easily configured for space-saving “mobile” storage. With the racking mounted on mobile base which moves along guide tracks set into the floor. This means only one moving operating aisle is required to access all the pallet locations. This space-saving design makes mobile pallet racking particularly suited to cold stores, as the maximum amount of cubic space can be utilised for storage.
T2 Storage Solutions Double-deep pallet racking allows pallets to be stored two deep but
still accessible from the same aisle. By reducing the number of access aisles and using the space saved to accommodate additional racking, a Double-deep configuration provides a highly space-efficient, cost effective storage system. Speed of access to the pallet positions may restricted but with an efficient stock management system this can easily be compensated for with the advantage of more pallets stored.
Effectively utilising floor and cubic space
T2 Storage Solutions’s Push-back (Dynamic) racking is one of the most space and time efficient pallet racking storage systems available. Pallets are loaded in sequence onto wheeled carriers of differing heights and are pushed back along inclined steel guide channels to utilise the depth of the racking. Pallets can be stored up to four deep and when a load is retrieved the remaining pallets roll forward into position at the picking face. Selectivity is ‘first-in then last-out’ and with each product having a dedicated lane, dynamic Push-back racking is particularly useful in marshalling areas, and for bulk storage and handling operations.
Pallets are loaded into dedicated lanes of inclined gravity rollers which are set at fixed gradients. When a pallet is taken from the picking face, the next pallet rolls into position with replenishment stock loaded at the opposite end of the lane. Pallet movement is regulated by a braking system within the roller tracks. Working on a first-in – first-out (FIFO) basis, Dynamic Live storage racking provides extremely high levels of storage density and provides automatic stock rotation, with the minimum of fork lift truck movements required to handle the flow of goods around your warehouse.
Specialised Applications – ie Carpet Racking
Whilst providing the ideal means of storing palletised loads, the versatility of T2 Storage Solutions product range of racking and storage equipment means that bulky, large or awkward to store items can be accommodated using the most accessible and space-efficient storage methods.
This can be achieved by using standard components in a novel way or by utilising ‘bespoke’ accessories, specified and manufactured to a customer’s particular requirement, T2 Storage Solutions expertise in creative storage design means there is always a cost and space-effecient solution to what can appear to be the most awkward of storage problems.
For example by using pallet racking or heavy duty long span structures we can achieve Carpet Racking in either a 2 or 3 bay deep configuration to suit the length of the carpet rolls. Then chipboard decks are installed spanning the racking beams from front to back, to support the carpet. Carpet racking like this can be supplied in a wide range of configurations to suit large scale flooring wholesalers or small independent carpet retailers.
In damp, cold, wet or outside environments normal pallet racking can corrode and start to rust which in turn can lead to safety issues as the steel pallet racking system starts to weaken.
An option would be to use a galvanised steel racking system to prolong the life of your racking and to ensure its safety whilst in use. We have installed several installations of Galvanised Pallet Racking System in the Nottingham area.
