Steel Staircases
We are specialists when it comes to the industrial and public use steel staircases, whether the use is for a storage platform mezzanine floor or a retail use secondary level, we have you covered.
The type of required staircase is dependent on the planned usage, a storage use platform will only require to conform to part K of the building regulations document, generally requiring hand rails either side.
If the staircase is to be used to access a secondary level office space, the stair case needs to conform to part M of the building regulation document which details how the floor must be suitable for disabled use. This requires the stair case to be significantly wider and if exceeding 12 risers a landing will be required.
Mezzanine floors that built for public use such as Retail Mezzanine Floors require a public access staircase which require a handrail and infill panelling.

Mezzanine edge protection is a requirement for all exposed sides of a mezzanine floor structure and is typically achieved using a mezzanine handrail installation.
We offer bespoke edge protection designed to meet the requirements of your project, including industrial and public environments, which are manufactured in accordance British Standards and Building Regulations approved document K.
Our handrails come in a variety of styles and can be bespoke designed and fabricated to suit any floor, including finish, infills and any additional requirements such as mesh to stop small items from falling off the mezzanine structure.
Saftey Pallet Loading Gate
Designed to protect people at exposed opening points at the edge of mezzanine floor, safety gates can have fail-safe “Up and Over” type operation or standard swing type gates or be of the sliding ‘trombone’ type.
They can accommodate standard sized pallets and require virtually no maintenance.
The gates are powder coated in a colour of your choice to give a highly durable finish.
