Mezzanine Floor Installation

A nationwide Electrical Installation company approached T2 Storage Solutions with the desire to increase their small warehouse storage capacity to accommodate their recent expansion.

Our solution was to create a small but perfectly formed 65m2 mezzanine floor to accommodate their bulky electrical components.

The floor construction consisted of inset design steel purlins at 700mm centres within “I” shaped steel beams of which one was cleverly designed to cantilever over an area that clear access was required therefore providing unhindered access to the customers electrical distribution board on the ground level.

A steel hybrid staircase was installed to allow access to the mezzanine level while red and black contrasting railings were installed to all exposed floor edges to comply with building regulations while looking aesthetically pleasing.

The whole project was completed within 48 hours leaving our client delighted and extremely appreciative of the newly created floor space – which in his words was “bigger than expected”.
