Aira approached T2 Storage Solutions requiring a UK engineering training centre and distribution hub to support its growing operations.

The newly acquired 1,127m2 industrial unit offered over a 12,000 sq ft footprint, although it contained minimal office accommodation and lacked the specialist facilities required for engineers training, product demonstrations and day-to-day operations.

Training and Distribution Hub Fit Out

T2 Storage Solutions transformed the existing warehouse into a multifunctional facility combining warehouse operations, engineer training suites, offices, a showroom and staff accommodation.

To increase the available floorspace and provide a separation between the workspace and the warehouse operations, a new 230m2 mezzanine floor was installed. New partitions and full-height glazing were used to separate office training rooms, the showroom and canteen while maintaining visibility between the occupied areas and wider warehouse.

The training suites received a complete mechanical and electrical installation package, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing services. Water resistant wall panels and floor coverings were also installed to provide durable surfaces suitable for practical source heat pump training.

New lighting was designed and installed through both the warehouse and office spaces while decorative flooring, wall finishes and bespoke joinery help complete the interiors.

The completed project provided Aira with a purpose-built facility capable of supporting engineer development, distribution operations and the continued growth of its UK business.
