Warehouse Design, Mezzanine Floor & Unirack Installation

An expanding local supplier of adult novelties recently moved into a new industrial unit in Newark. They asked T2 Storage Solutions to design their warehouse to fully utilise all the available space.

The required storage space far exceeded the initial footprint of the unit, therefore a new storage use 5KN/m2 Mezzanine Floor was installed, giving our client the additional storage capaicty they required and some optional working space.

Accompanying the new mezzanine platform was a range of storage solutions, including:
Stow Pallet Racking at varying heights with bays being at 3.9m wide – allowing 1.2m face pallets to be stored per beam with a max UDL of 3200Kgs per beam level .
A combination of Longspan Heavy Duty Shelving and Unirack Shelving throughout the unit for additional storage of un-palleted and palleted goods.

Due to heavy usage of fork lifting trucks in the unit, we installed “U” shaped frame protectors on the exposed racking edge in order to give the racking longevity.

As with all our projects, we handled all the building regulation applications on our customers behalf, giving them peace of mind that their new mezzanine floor was safe, legal and fit for purpose.

Additional works included the installation of lighting across both floors, a smoke detection system and anti-collapse mesh.

All the work was completed within a 2 week period and to the exact budget we had agreed prior to starting the installation.
