Cladding and Interior Refurbishment
Nottingham
Farrell Transport Ltd approached T2 Storage with the desire to transform their storage warehouse in Nottingham into brand new offices alongside driver related facilities.
The brief required the design to be brand or corporate focused as this would serve as their Head office.
Our process video gives a preview of the space before and after our works commenced and is definitely worth a watch .
Internal Works:
A combination of steel and steel glazed partitions were utilised to create segregated office and utility spaces within the building, including a driver window and worktop laminated shelf. These new spaces included a new reception area, multiple smaller office spaces, a meeting room, a main office, tea-point and also WC and wet rooms.
Energy efficient air conditioning systems were installed throughout the office space to keep the interior at comfortable temperature while providing optimal air circulation and ventilation, removing pollutants from the air which is crucial in a heavy vehicle area.
The office, reception and meeting rooms were all installed with new heavy-duty carpet flooring throughout in order to handle the expected footfall.
Anti-slip vinyl flooring was installed in the drivers corridor, staff tea point, locker and shower rooms alongside the new WC / Toilet Installations.
Careful space planning allowed us to maximise our clients budget, installing a range of office furniture that looks great and is built to last while being cost effective.
External Works:
Brand-new external insulated cladding with shadow line gutters was installed to the buildings front face as we removed old asbestos sheet cladding. This process required the partial removal of a lean-to across the side of the building.
Significant repairs to the warehouse structure was also undertaken, including roof remedial works to avoid any leaking into the building.
New double-glazed windows were installed into newly formed openings in the warehouse structure, ensuring optimal natural light throughout the new office spaces.
A bespoke soak-away system was also installed nearby the warehouse to deal with excess water as well as preventing any flooding to the premises, keeping the ground free from surface water.
