National Uniform Distributor
Two Tier Shelving Solution
Mansfield
T2 Storage Solutions were approached by a National Uniform Distributor who required an expansion to their warehouse shelving and garment storage in Mansfield to accommodate their extensive and ever expanding clothing range.
The current pallet racking solution installed in the warehouse was insufficient and not built to purpose, therefore we proposed a new two-tier shelving solution, designed bespoke to suit our client’s individual requirements.
We were excited to get the opportunity to tender for these works, promptly visiting site to conduct our free site survey while offering professional design advice that would ensure the new 2 tier shelving solutions would provide the perfect warehouse shelving solution.
Our client had worked with T2 Storage Solutions on a prior two-tier shelving solution, which alongside our professional approach and detailed design drawings, helped us secure the tender.
Final Specification:
Our final specification was to supply, design and install a Unirack Two Tier Shelving Structure with a finished floor level of 2740mm and a total shelf bay capacity of 4200kg UDL (Uniformed Distributed Load), allowing the 2 tier unirack shelving to be installed at both ground and first floor levels. The shelving was specifically designed to allow walkways on first floor built to carry a UDL of 300kgs/m² (3kN/m²).
The ground floor was divided into 31 bays with 3 hanging levels for garment storage with a further 279 bays with 3 shelving levels for general storage.
First-floor level shelving was designed with a total of 31 multi-purpose shelving, including bays for a combination of garment hanging and general storage with a further 248 Bays designed for general storage.
The new structure included the installation of 1No. integrated steel staircase (sprayed yellow) to ensure our design fully complied with means of escape regulations and 2No. bespoke fabricated steel staircases with yellow and black safety banding to ensure they complied with health and safety regulations.
Project was completed ahead of schedule with minimal disruption to our client’s operations.
