Mezzanine Floor for Storage Use

T2 Storage Solutions was approached by a UK-based specialty gift and furnishing company looking to expand their usable space in their Nottingham warehouse unit.

The design and installation of a 122m2 storage usage Mezzanine Floor with a UDL of 5kN/m2 was part of our solution. The mezzanine floor has an L/360 Deflection Limit, which eliminates any floor “bounce,” and is accessed through a hybrid L-shaped steel staircase with a mid-landing.

The mezzanine floor was designed with a dedicated fire alarm and 1 Hour Fire Protection. LED lighting was installed on the mezzanine structure’s underneath and topside, as well as emergency lighting.

Power and data points have be built into the mezzanine structure for ease of use.

We applied for and received certification for the mezzanine structure, as we do with all of our mezzanine installations, to ensure that it met all building regulations, including building and fire regulations, as well as British standards.
