Mezzanine Floor for Storage Use

One of our returning clients, a Warehouse Service Provider, contacted T2 Storage Solutions following a successful installation of a mezzanine office, with the aim to expand their storage space in one of their Nottingham Units.

After a comprehensive site survey, it was agreed that the design and install of a 94m2 Storage use Mezzanine Floor with a UDL of 5kN/m2 would allow our client the space required to increase their storage capacity while retaining most of their ground level footprint. The mezzanine floor also benefits from a L/360 Deflection criteria, drastically reducing floor “bounce”. The grey carpet flooring provides a sense of comfort to soften the traditional wooden decking on a mezzanine structure and reduce dust levels.

A steel stair installation allows ease of access to the secondary level while red powder coated steel handrails / barriers protect the open mezzanine edges. The underneath structure of the mezzanine was installed with LED lighting alongside emergency lighting and additional fire detection sensors and sounders. The heavy duty goods lift allows for the safe and easy movement of storage items to the mezzanine level.

As with all our mezzanine structures, we applied and received certification for the mezzanine structure, including fire regulations and British Standards.
